Color Wheel

This is my color wheel. For this assignment we had to incorporate all the different colors of the color wheel into our painting. I had to mix different colors together to make a new color. I started with basic colors and then began putting in the more complex ones. The elements are color, value, and texture. The principles are pattern and unity.

Book Cover

This is my book cover. I decided to draw out the cover of my favorite book when I was little. This piece was done with watercolors. I knew that since I was working with the cover of a children's book it would be a good thing to incorporate a lot of bright colors. The element of this piece was color. The principles were pattern,  and unity.

This is one of my photos from my accordion photography book. I took this picture in Hawaii when i went last summer. The palm trees in the picture represent unity.

This was one of my favorite pictures from my accordion photography books. I took a picture of a teddy bear that i have in my room to represent texture. 

Ink Portrait

This is my ink portrait. I first took a black and white picture of myself and outlined all the dark ares of the photo in pencil on another sheet of paper. I filled this dark areas in with black ink. The rest of the areas around the black were left white. The elements of this portrait are value and space. The principles are contrast and emphasis.
