Ink Portrait

This is my ink portrait. I first took a black and white picture of myself and outlined all the dark ares of the photo in pencil on another sheet of paper. I filled this dark areas in with black ink. The rest of the areas around the black were left white. The elements of this portrait are value and space. The principles are contrast and emphasis. 

Piece from Sketchbook

This is my favorite piece from my sketchbook. The assignment was to redraw a drawing that had been done by the famous artist Rembrandt. I chose to draw an elephant and in the drawing i chose to shade. The elements of this particular piece are line and value. The principle of this piece is contrast between the light and dark areas of the elephant. 

Best Portrait

This is a portrait of myself when i was little. We had to include pictures in the background that represented our personality. The elements in this portrait are line and color. The principles are balance, emphasis, movement and rhythm.  

Watercolor Landscape

This is my Watercolor Landscape painting. The elements in this painting are value and color. The principles are contrast and rhythm and movement. 

Gouache Ink Resistant

This is my Gouache Ink Resistant painting. I decided to draw a hummingbird and a sunflower. I drew out the picture and then painted it. To finish up I had to cover the picture with black ink which was resistant to the paint, meaning it easily came right off when rinsed with water. The elements of this piece are line, color, and space. The principles are emphasis, movement and rhythm, and pattern.

Best Pencil Still Life

This is my still life. We had to choose an object in our house and draw it. i decided to draw my mirror in my room and a frame thats above it. I sketched out the drawing and then went over it in marker to add color to it. The elements in this are line and color. The principles are emphasis and pattern.

Candy Balance Study

This is my Candy Balance Study drawing. I chose to draw an imitation of the skittles wrapper. The elements in this drawing are shape and form(2D), and color. The principle in this piece is emphasis. An emphasis is placed on each part of the candy wrapper and its design.
